I would like to say a few words about the guy who stood up for me and fought for me. Mike McPartlan did not settle when it would have been the easy thing to do. He believed I was on the right side of the issue and he saw my case through to a verdict. Mike, who really listened, and remembered, took th...e time to research the law behind my circumstances and laid it all out for me in a way that was clear and easy for me to understand. While my former's attorney threatened and bullied, my attorney remained unflappable, Mike McPartlan has a style about him that's old-school. Classic. He's not one of those shinny-suit wearing guys that's always seems to be in a hurry. Mike was fantastic at responding to my questions, text messages in a matter of minutes. I hired Mike as my divorce lawyer in 2014. Everything that Mike had control of was done well. 1. Mike will call you back when you leave a message. 2. Mike will show up on time to consultation and court appearances. 3. Mike will explain the divorce process to you, and was extrememly thorough... when it came time to sign the aggreement. (I understood my agreement better than several others who were either divorcing or divorced). I have had friends fed up with their lawyers go to Mike and they ended up hiring Mike McPartlan. It seems to me that Mike excels in the "in-person" negotiation and speaking to the judge. ** I do have to comment, though, that you need to have realistic expectations. NYS divorce laws are good to men who want to see their kids - visitation, but it seems they go out of their way to ruin men financially.
