Based in Buffalo, New York, Matthew Albert is an animal and civil rights attorney with additional experience as a criminal defense attorney. He has managed his own legal practice since 2015, allowing him to defend clients in jury trials involving both felony and misdemeanor charges. In addition to his work with the Law Offices of Matthew Albert Esq., he is the founder of the Against All Oddz Animal Alliance, the nation’s first and only animal law and animal rescue sanctuary. In this position he has successfully saved hundreds of canines through both legal processes and rescue efforts. He has held similar leadership positions with organizations such as The Buffalo Barkyard, NYS Citizens Against Puppy Mills, the Ten Lives Club, and Educatabull, a pit bull rescue and education organization.
Matthew Albert holds a bachelor of arts in human services from the University at Buffalo and a master of arts in journalism from Syracuse University. He returned to the University at Buffalo to earn his juris doctor. His personal interests include writing poetry and hiking.
