RTD sought to acquire a portion of my client's property for light rail. RTD refused to acknowledge that the easement they sought to acquire would effectively sever the property and would prevent acces ... s entirely from the northern portion of the parcel to the southern portion of the parcel. My client sought compensation for the taking as if the southern parcel would be left inaccesible; RTD denied this. Trial ensued.
