Horrible! This guys wears a mask all the time and you can still smell his gum disease. Doesn’t respond to emails until it’s 2 am. Has immature comments to say to the other party and their lawyer without ever addressing your concerns. Family court is not his thing. Might be good at collecting dirt an...d speaking in renascence lingo but not a family lawyer at all. Had him as a hire and a court appointed I could not get rid of until I hired new. He is always late to court, never does a pre trial discussion. His office looks worse than my first college apartment! RUN from this “man” as fast as you can!

I hired Dennis due to issues that were occurring between my son's mother and I before my son was even born. I've hired him for a multitude of cases. I first hired him to bring my son's mother to court when she refused to acknowledge that I was my son's father. I then hired him for a custody agreement... in 2010 that was an agreed upon situation at the time and it went very smoothly. In 2013 my son's mother and I separated and next began the onslaught of issues. I hired Dennis in 2014 the pursue full custody and not just every other week as it was with the first agreement. By 2015 I have custody of my son and he is no longer stuck in the subpar, and frequently dangerous, conditions at his mothers house. Dennis also represented me through two different cases of child support where the county brought me on behalf of my son's mother due to her public assistance. Dennis did a great job minimizing the damage the county attempted to do. The last case I hired Dennis for was to bring my son's mother to court for child support, which also ended very well and in my favor. Also, although I had not hired him, Dennis had also provided quality advice regarding and order of protection for my son as well. Qualities Abour Dennis The man works hard. Not "9-5" hard. Not "I'll give you the most bang for your buck" hard. Dennis works "I'll respond to all of your emails even if it's 3 a.m. and I spent all day in courts while traveling across three counties and my secretary quit so I'm by myself, but still going above and beyond anyway and I also have to be in court tomorrow at 7:30 a.m." hard. In terms of being able to get in contact with Dennis. He very diligently responds back to phone calls, has an answering service for when he can't pick up, responds to emails relentlessly, is willing to meet in person whenever possible, and never tries to screw you because you contacted him. I called Dennins once to ask a few questions without having him on retainer, asked him what I owed him, and if I recall correctly, stated "That's not necessary sir. If you really feel inclined to give away your money, pay for someone's tank of gas." Dennis also doesn't beat around the bush. If you are the type of person who can give him the facts, not exaggerations or embellishments, can understand what to reasonably expect in the situation you are in, and can accept what is reasonable and/or necessary in certain situations, Dennis will not let you down. He is honest and up front and keeps expectations realistic. If he doesn't have an answer for a question, he won't make something up to give you an answer. He'll tell you if he doesn't know and get back to you with an answer. If you are looking for an opinion to make yourself feel better, he will do the right thing and be honest and not mislead to get more money out of you. Speaking of money. Dennis was very good to me to allow me to make monthly payments and worked with me to set what that payment would be so that it would be reasonable for both parties. In terms of cost, Dennis is better priced than almost any attorney in the area. In terms of value, you get more from Dennis than paying someone else twice as much. I am almost at the maximum character limit so I will end with this. Dennis Laughling is not just an attorney, but a man of integrity who understands people's lives and families and seems to be a rare, almost extinct, breed of attorney is who that is doing this work for what is right and just and not to take advantage of people's misfortunes. Hire this man if you want someone who will fight for you at every turn, work unendingly for you, and actually care about you and your family.
