Unlawful Detainer action after foreclosure, wherein subsequent lender and purchaser filed action to evict my client Celestine after foreclosing and purchasing home at non-judicial foreclosure sale. ... Argued on behalf of Defendant that Aurora lacked the required standing to foreclose and evict Plaintiff because Aurora was not the holder in due course of the Note and lacked the authority to foreclose. Court agreed with our argument and ruled in our favor at trial. Celestine was able to keep her home after it was sold at non-judicial foreclosure sale.
