This was a tax abatement case where a company filed a request for a tax abatement on behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary. I represented the company seeking the tax abatement. The town moved to dism ... iss the petition because, it claimed, the action had to be brought in the name of the subsidiary. The Board of Tax and Land Appeals dismissed the case, but the decision was reversed on appeal.
OUTCOME: Case was dismissed by the trial court. Supreme court reinstated the case after appeal.
Parents modified their parenting plan by adopting a new parenting schedule. There was no written or oral agreement to do so. Mother asked the court to adopt a new parenting plan based upon this new s ... chedule. The father objected, saying he never agreed to the new schedule. I represented the mother at trial. The trial court dismissed the case but the Supreme Court reversed, holding an agreement to modify a parenting plan can be done in writing, orally or can be inferred by conduct.
