J.K. Hage III

I am the managing member of Hage & Hage LLC, a New York technology and business law firm and I’m Of Counsel to Lukas, Nace, Gutierrez and Sachs, a Washington, D.C. communications law and engineering firm. As a business developer, I have achieved great success in various business ventures. I founded Independent Wireless One Corporation (aka U.S. Unwired), a national Sprint PCS affiliate, and was the organizer and the first Executive Director of the Griffiss Institute, a market driven national collaboration of industry, the academy and government dedicated to applied research, training, and services in information security.

I serve as a director of the national Economic Crime Institute. I am also a member of the Albany Law School Board of Trustees, the Albany Law School Center for Innovation, the Glimmerglass Opera Board of Trustees, the Herkimer County Community College Criminal Justice Advisory Committee, the City of Utica Master Plan Steering Committee, the Cornell University R2G Project Core Committee and am Chair of the Multicultural Committee of the Hamilton College Alumni Council.

I am an entrepreneurial activist investor in public and private ventures and have extensive personal experience on public, private, profit and nonprofit boards and management teams. 

I am also a frequent lecturer in the areas of business organizations, succession and estate planning, telecommunications regulation, sustainable practices and green initiatives. I developed the Central New York region's first LEED Gold Certified, "green" office building.
