The minor child was living with her mother who had a substance abuse and anger management problem. The adult sister wished to take custody of her minor sister. I filed a guardianship petition in the ... Probate and Family Court and got the judge to award temporary guardianship to the adult sister and ultimately permanent guardianship to her. I utilized DOR to garnish the mother's wages so as to help support the minor child as mother refused to pay child support voluntarily.
