The plaintiff claimed that she was assaulted and beaten by her boyfriend while he was at work and on his employer's property. She sued the defendant employer/property owner for monetary damages. T ... he plaintiff alleged that she was injured as a direct and proximate cause of the defendant's alleged negligent hiring and negligent supervision of her boyfriend. She also alleged negligent security. I filed a motion for summary judgement on behalf of the the defendant employer/property owner, which was allowed and the case against my client was dismissed. The court agreed that the boyfriend's intentional torts were not within the scope of his employment and the employer could not be vicariously liable for the same.
OUTCOME: Summary judgment was granted for the defendant property owner and the case was dismissed against it.
