A female teenager was a restrained passenger in a vehicle that ran off the road and struck a utility pole. She was killed instantly and no evidence of conscious pain and suffering existed. A cell pho ... ne call to 911 made by the Defendant driver almost immediately after the collision tended to incriminate the pre-collision conduct of the Defendant. A videographer was retained to produce a documentary of the decedent's life which included a recording of the 911 call. The case settled for $2,000,000.00 at mediation less than thirteen months after the death of the Plaintiff’s decedent and less than one year after the filing of the lawsuit.
