I focus my practice on land use/environmental, commercial and federal litigation. I also counsels clients on environmental issues and represents clients in connection with acquisitions for public projects under New York’s Eminent Domain Procedure Law.
My environmental practice areas include:
● Petroleum spill claims under New York’s Oil Spill Act
● Hazardous substance cleanup cases, such as under CERCLA and RCRA
● Compliance with Federal and State environmental laws and regulations
● Environmental permitting
● Environmental due diligence for acquisitions or sale of real property
● Reducing exposure to environmental liabilities through contract terms
● Defending enforcement actions by regulatory agencies
● Negotiating Consent Orders with State and Federal agencies
● Land use issues such as zoning and SEQRA
● Matters under the CWA
I handle both general and complex litigation in federal and state court. I concentrate my practice in the area of commercial, environmental and constitutional litigation. My federal litigation practice includes Title VII and Section 1983 matters, among other matters, and often acts as local counsel for large firms in matters pending in the Northern District of New York, including intellectual property matters. My experience in Federal court dates back to his experience as confidential law clerk to the Hon. Daniel Scanlon, Jr. and senior confidential law clerk to the Hon. Howard G. Munson, both federal judges in the Northern District of New York.
