Marie brings a diverse background spanning public and private higher education institutions, as well as the K–12 educational environment. Her professional experience includes leading and supporting civil rights compliance and employee relations matters.

Marie is currently admitted to practice in New York State.

Marie earned her bachelor's degree from Ithaca College, majoring in English and Writing with a minor in Philosophy. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in a study abroad program in London and served as President of the American Red Cross Club.

She continued her education at Syracuse University, earning a Master of Science in Cultural Foundations of Education and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Disability Studies. Marie received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law. While in law school, she participated in the Disability Law Clinic, worked as a Disability Law Research Assistant and Law Clerk for a K–12 school district, and completed an externship in London with Family Court Barristers.

Marie was actively involved in campus leadership and student organizations throughout her legal education. She served as Secretary of the Women’s Law Student Association, represented the Higher Education Group as the Class of 2024 Representative, and was a member of both the First-Generation Law Student Association and the Disability Law Society.

In addition to her academic credentials, Marie earned a Certificate in Labor Relations from Cornell University. She also holds several professional certifications from the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), including Title IX Coordinator Foundations Level One: Sexual Harassment for Higher Education, Investigation Foundations Level One, and Investigation Skills & Report Writing for Higher Education.
