Dom Cambareri

For over 28 years, Dom has concentrated his law practice to the representation of seriously injured victims and workers in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, passenger & pedestrian accidents, construction & workplace accidents, injuries to children; dog bite injuries; premises liability, workers compensation, & appeals. Dom has been honored by his selection to the New York Super Lawyers (Upstate Edition) in the area of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury from 2007-2012, 2014 & 2015. Dom has also been honored by his selection to the distinguished Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Dom has successfully obtained millions of dollars for his clients in court verdicts, pre-trial settlements and arbitration awards.

Dom has also significant legal skills in zoning, planning, land use, and residential real estate closings.  Present and past clients in this area include: Express Mart/Petr-All Corp., Riccelli Enterprises, Holy Cross Church (Dewitt), St. Matthews Church (E. Syracuse), Basile Family Limited Partnership, West Taft Family Care, John J. Cambareri, M.D., and Fairchild & Meech Funeral Home.  

Having earned the respect of his fellow attorneys and judges for his expertise, knowledge, honesty and integrity, ethical and civil conduct, and fairness in the administration of justice, Dom has served extensively as a private arbitrator and mediator for serious personal injury cases. He has also served as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association in areas of personal injury, commercial litigation and Lemon Law cases.

Dom graduated magna cum laude (Class Rank – 2nd) from Capital University Law School in 1986. He was an Articles Editor of the Capital University Law Review, had a law review article on Habeas Corpus review published in 1985, and served as law clerk to the late Max Kravitz, a distinguished Professor of Criminal Law and trial attorney.  He also graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs).

Dom is a current member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Onondaga County Bar Association (OCBA). Dom served on the OCBA Board of Directors for 5 years (1997-2001), its executive committee for 4 years (1998-2001), the OCBA Governance Committee (2003-2008), and chairperson of the OCBA Nominating Subcommittee (2001-2008). Dom was also appointed in 2001 by the State of New York Appellate Division Fourth Department to serve on of the Grievance Committee for the Fifth Judicial District and served as a member for 6 years (2001-2007).

Dom has had the honor of serving on the Capital University Law School Alumni Association Board of Directors (1999-2007), including the distinction of serving as the Board President for 2 years.

Dom has also served as Town of Dewitt Zoning Board of Appeals attorney (2000-2002), and is active with many Town of Dewitt political, social and community activities.
