Richard C. Van Donsel

We retained Mr Van Donsel to handle a divorce/separation dispute. He took our $1000 but did nothing on our case until almost 2 weeks later when the other party filed a petition in another state. That finally prompted him to file a petition in NY. The petition he filed was extremely weak and conta...ined none of the important points we were trying to make to the court. Of course it was dismissed. If I was the judge I would have dismissed it! I think it was written by his receptionist. Through the entire process Mr Van Donsel never once took one of our phone calls or returned any calls. His receptionist did say he was making us a list of other lawyers. Really?? Lawyers like this need to be barred from practice. He has done us a huge dis-service. Incompetent.
