This case involved a theft of client funds by their broker at A.G. Edwards. The broker persuaded these clients and other customers to invest in a scam entity known as All School Kids. A.G. Edwards di ... scovered the unlawful sale of investments in this entity and fired the broker, but never warned his subsequent employer or any of his victims of the unlawful activity. Consequently, our clients continued to lose even more money at the broker's subsequent employer. We recovered 100% of their actual losses plus interest, plus all of their costs as well as their attorney fees. The broker went to jail.

This case involved fraudulent and unsuitable investment recommendations by the longtime investment advisor for these elderly clients, who wish to remain unnamed for privacy reasons. The nature of the ... unsuitable trading was so egregious, and the lack of supervision was so significant, that the award was imposed not only against the brokerage firm, but also against several individuals for their lack of oversight of the offending broker's activity.
