Started with encouragement but ended in humility

Initially Mr. Griffin gave me hope. Explained all we would ask the court for. I was totally humiliated in the courtroom (in front of I don’t know how many people). No objection from my lawyer. The judge was rude my lawyer, nothing was said. I could go on and on but I won’t.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2008.

Reciprocal - Suspension issued in DC, 2008

updated on 07/19/2016

This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in District of Columbia Bar.

Censured issued in NY, 2007

updated on 04/08/2016

When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2008
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
