We removed it to the U.S. Distri ... ct Court of Colorado and moved to dismiss the case on jurisdictional grounds as the clients were residents of Texas. After the plaintiff amended their complaint to attempt to invoke the jurisdiction of the federal court in Colorado, Judge N. Reid Neureiter granted our Motion to Dismiss in a 19-page Order and entered Final Judgment in favor of our clients.

The trial court denied our client’s access to the records which were needed to defend the wrongful death lawsuit. On appeal, the appellate court reversed the trial court and held our client had a right pursuant to Florida Statutes to access the juvenile records.
