Mark Elton Anderson

Mr. Anderson was on a list of Divorce Attorneys from Stop Domestic Violence. His rate said $50 per hour for "clients of Stop Domestic Violence". Turned out his rate was $250 per hour. Mr. Anderson was condescending, unprofessional and unreliable. He called me a liar, made me feel like a criminal..., cancelled a couple of court dates and I felt he was on my ex-husband's side. I had never had to deal with the court system before. Nothing was explained to me. Though no one can predict with certainty what happens in the courtroom, I had blinded faith that I would at least, be treated with respect and loyalty. I expected my attorney to work hard to ensure the best possible result, which didnt happen. Furthermore, Mr. Anderson often would not reply to my emails, and didnt send me a detailed invoice until a year later, which is not only illegal but detrimental. I would not recommend Mr. Anderson as a divorce attorney.

I was afraid for my safety, as I was being stalked, verbally and physically abused. Mark Anderson should have done a "confidential address" for serving my husband, since I had lef...t the marital residence and moved to a place I felt safe at and he didn't know where I was. After receiving a copy of the serving paperwork, I saw that my new 'SAFE HOME" was listed right on the serving papers in plain sight. It took me many years to get up the courage to leave...then an error that was so major was devastating to me. Luckily no physical harm came from this, but the mental anguish was devastating to me. Judge? I WOULD NEVER WANT HIM TO BE JUDGE. Safety is priceless. He blew it.

I was in a domestic violence relationship and needed protection for my children and me. I hired Mark and he was great. He was there every step of the way and responded to my (many) telephone calls. Mark helped me through a really difficult time and was sensitive and caring. I would hire him agai...n without hesitation and recommend him to anyone going through Family Court.

I hired Mark to represent me in the summer 2014 for child custody matters. My spouse had filed an order of protection against me filling it with lies. Mark was very unresponsive and left me to do all the work. He spent more time telling me how much I was going to lose if I took my case to trial ev...en though I had all the evidence and testimony on my side. He seemed very agitated whenever I asked him questions. I paid him $2K for a grand total of maybe 2 hours of cumulative effort. What a total waste of time and money.
