OUTCOME: The bench warrant was lifted, and the case was eventually competely nolle prossed without the Defendant ever having to surrender herself or travel to Florida.

The Defendant's sister falsely provided the Defendant's name to police during a traffic stop in order to avoid an open warrant. The sister then never informed the Defendant as to the situation. Accor ... dingly, the arraignment was missed and a bench warrant issued for the unknowing Defendant. The Defendant had never even been to the state of Florida, and now was unable to obtain a valid driver's license due to the outstanding warrant.
