Mr. Johns was charged with 3 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a child under 12 involving allegations from 3 different girls. Mr. Johns always maintained his innocence. The penalty for the j ... ust one count is 25 years to life in prison. He even rejected an offer of 10 years in prison. After a week of motions, jury selection and trial Mr. Johns was found not guilty of all counts by the jury. After spending a year in jail, Mr. Johns was able to walk out of the courthouse that day a free man. The jury foreperson even called Ms. Benedik after the trial to tell her what a great job she did on the trial.
