The Defendant was charged with Battery after he punched a person who was charging him during a confrontation about parking. The alleged victim and witness stated that the Defendant exchanged heated wor ... ds with him and then punched him in the face 10-15 times. A self defense motion was denied under the stand your ground law. The Defendant went to trial and was found not guilty as their was a reasonable hypothesis of innocence as to self defense since he only defended himself against the unlawful contact by the victim.

Client was charged with D.U.I. after found intoxicated and disoriented in stopped car off the interstate. Client had recently been very unstable and diagnosed with several major psychiatric disorders. ... Doctors opinion that client was incompetent at time of offense and had ingested large amounts of alcoholic beverage due to her mental condition, ie. involuntary. Verdict by Judge Lopez was that she was Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.
