ABC Hospital had no specialist or facilities to safely deliver premature babies and would transfer pregnant mothers expecting premature delivery to tertiary care center. Pregnant mother was seen on two ... occasions in ABC Hospital's emergency room and labor & delivery unit for severe range blood pressure between 20 weeks and 27 weeks. Despite expected premature delivery for what was eventually acknowledged to be severe preeclampsia, ABC Hospital, Jane Doe Ob-Gyn MD and Jill Doe APRN never transferred mother and baby to tertiary care center. At 31 weeks mother was seen for third time in ABC Hospital's emergency room and baby found to be in distress requiring urgent C-section with baby delivered without heartbeat for about 19 minutes. baby survived with life-long catastrophic brain damage.

Crew member was ordered with rest of the crew to ready lines for docking as vessel approached Atlantic island and vessel rolled as crew member was opening sliding doors when it opened and shut on hand fracturing fingers and damaging thumb. At 5 am, Jane Doe young mother and her two minor daughters stopped on shoulder of major interstate to give assistance to a car that had crashed minutes before and that had become disabled in the roadw ... ay blocking the slow lane of traffic. Two other cars stopped in the shoulder to help as well. Tractor trailer came down interstate and failed to see the black and unlit disabled car blocking the lane and struck it causing a chain reaction pinball-like crash between the tractor trailer, the disabled car and the three cars stopped in the shoulder. Jane Doe young mother, as well as another young mother who had stopped to help were standing on side of roadway and were struck and gruesomely killed by the disabled car as it careened after being hit by tractor trailer. jane Doe's two minor daughters witnessed aftermath.

32 year old 28 weeks pregnant woman went to ER with complaints of severe mid-back pain radiating to her ribs. Blood pressure was noted to be very high. Labs were abnormal but ER doctor diagnosed her ... with reflux. ER doctor never ordered an urinalysis, liver enzymes or fetal monitoring to determine what causing signs and symptoms or to rule out preeclampsia. Three days later, woman presented to other ER with severe preeclampsia and placental abruption necessitating emergency c-section. Woman suffered HELLP syndrome, liver rupture and multiple major abdominal surgeries with significant hospitalization. Woman recovered and daughter born prematurely but with no residual issues.
