Crissy Cladakis v. The Cladgroup, Bill Cladakis and Harriet Cladakis
Feb 17, 2010OUTCOME:
This lawsuit was initiated by Crissy Cladakis who owns several properties with her family along with a 50% interest in the CladGroup. Bill Cladakis signed documentation with the IRS and for the liquor ... license for the bar indicating that Crissy owned 49 0r 50% of the CladGroup. In August 2007, after discovering that other family members had fraudulently forged her signature to prevent her from transferring shares of stock, Crissy had a split from her family. In response, her family stopped paying her expenses and her mortgage. He also purported to divest her of her ownership in the Cladgroup by removing her from the corporation. This removal was invalid due to the fact that Crissy owns 49 or 50% of the company and was not notified of the shareholder's meetings that purportedly removed her. Other court proceedings have shown that the Cladakis family plays fast and loose with who owns what and they have attempted unsuccessfully to evict tenants from properties owned by Crissy claiming they were the true landlords. The case is currently at the pleading stage and the latest hearing was continued until November. We settled prior to the motion to dismiss. Attorney Eckard and his firm were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend his law firm for any of the areas they practice in.
