$5.1 million jury verdict: Our client was a 75-year-old woman who suffered a mild to moderate traumatic brain injury in an automobile accident. The verdict came after a hard-fought trial that lasted o ... ne-week. The accident took place in an intersection controlled by a four-way stop, when the defendant failed to yield the right-of-way. Our client was a passenger in her friend’s car. The accident left both our client and her friend with no memory of what occurred. The defendant driver and his defense team tried to avoid responsibility for the accident, blaming our client’s friend who failed to come to a complete stop at her stop sign. They also claimed our client had made a “miraculous recovery” from her injuries. Through expert witness testimony and accident reconstruction analysis, we were able to discredit their claims and the defendant’s testimony. The jury found for our client, concluding that the defendant was the primary cause of the crash. The jury also recognized how our client’s injuries had changed her life and they returned a substantial verdict for our client.
