FP&L workers did not have clear obvious clothing identifying them a ... s such. The FPL workers disabled his yard dog with mace. Client approached with a automatic weapon and shot into the ground to scare them as he thought they meant him harm. Client arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. He faced 20 years minimum mandatory prison due to his priors. A STAND YOUR GROUND motion was filed on his behalf, after a contentious evidentiary hearing the judge denied the motion. A motion for reconsideration was filed and heard and after a significant time the court ultimately ruled that the client was entitled to the Stand Your Ground immunity and the case was dismissed by the court.
