Aug 11, 2016OUTCOME: Granted/Case Administratively Closed
Co-counsel on removal/deportation proceeding for a man who entered the United States without inspection over 30 years ago, married a Canadian national who later became an LPR , and over the course of t ... ime had 6 U.S. Citizen children with his wife. Client was placed in removal/deportation proceedings in Federal Immigration Court in Miami after getting arrested following an altercation outside of a bar. Client was transferred to Federal custody and held at Krome Detention Center. Client was granted bond and was scheduled for a Master Hearing in Immigration Court. I along with my co-counsel successfully persuaded the Chief Counsel for Department of Homeland Security to grant prosecutorial discretion and administratively close his deportation/removal proceedings which cleared the way for Client to to request an I-601 waiver in order to adjust his status through his U.S. Citizen son.
