OUTCOME: Reduced felony charge and reinstatent of probation

Client was stopped for speeding. Client had suspended drivers license and was on probation for felony driving with suspended license. Client gave false name to law enforcement to avoid arrest for unlaw ... fully driving. Client was arrested for Violation of Probation (VOP); Felony DWLSR; and False name to officer. Was succuessful in getting the state to reduce the Felony charge to misdemeanor and to reinstate probation. Client received time served on false name and is now home with his family.

OUTCOME: Judgment in favor of Plaintiffs

Clients contracted to have storm shutters placed on their home. Contract called for deposit of half of contract price ($8,000+) with remainder due upon delivery and installation. Shutters delivered ... did not conform to what the Hursts had requested. Moreover, installation was described as one of the worst seen by witnesses who testified at trial. After numerous attempts to settle the matter the case went to trial before Judge Remington. At trial presented evidence and testimony that the Defendant failed to pull required permits from Walton County, installation was of poor quality leaving exposed holes in exterior of home, and that the Defendant failed to honor obligations under the contract. Verdict was for return of all deposits paid by the Hursts, money to pay for costs of repair to home, and for attorney fees and costs.

OUTCOME: Jury verdict in favor of my client

Client was sued by family member for civil theft, constructive trust, fraudulent inducement, recission, and quiet title. Main issue of case was whether a quit claim deed signed and executed in favor of ... my client was obtained by my client through fraud or coercion. Presented evidence that showed Plaintiff knowingly and voluntarily transferred title without coercion from my client. Jury deliberated for approximately 4 hours and returned a verdict finding client not guilty of any of the charges claimed by the Plaintiff. Client was able to keep property as a result and we received a judgment for attorney fees and costs against Plaintiff.
