Highly recommended Real Estate Attorney

As first time homeowners it was essential to have someone to explain the complicated process of buying a home. Ronald was not only available with any questions that we had before closing but also at our closing. He explained the legal rhetoric in detail, and simplified it for us so we understood all ...the information at hand. Ronald was also so patient with us when we had questions regarding documents or legal terms that were brought up. We felt more apart of the discussion than being the discussion. Ronald was not only professional but personable and that made our experience during closing easy and stress-free. Furthermore, Ron was available via email or phone at all hours of the day. We highly recommend Ronald to all new homeowners. Thank you so much for making our first time home buying experience a breeze.

Highly Recommended Attorney

Ron Tomlins was our attorney when we sold our townhouse and also when we purchased our new home. The purchase was a short sale, and he was very patient and helpful with the long process. We always felt Ron was looking out for our interests. He answered our emails and calls promptly. Ron is easy to... talk to and took his time explaining the legal process every step of the way. If the need arises, we will definitely use his services again.

Excellent Attorney

Ron has been my attorney for the past 18 years. He was my attorney when I bought my first house, refinanced it, through my divorce and child custody agreements, and through family court as well as a pre-nuptial agreement for my second marriage. Ron was always level headed, got back to me ASAP, helpe...d me understand all of the laws regarding divorce, custody, and child support and helped me stay rational through it all. Ron doesn't try to draw things out or drag things on. He has a great deal of experience and knows most of the key players in court as well as other attorneys. Ron even communicates with me on weekends and evenings via email, which is going above and beyond. Ron is professional, rational, and reasonable and isn't afraid to say the things that need to be said. I feel very first ate to have him on my side.

Poor communication skills. LOST MY CASE!

I have to start by saying that I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. I hired Mr. Tomlin to represent me in my DRO case. Before hiring him, I told him my situation and he felt that I had a case to be won. I trusted that he knew what he was doing and would prevail in my case. Over two year...s later and $3325 spent on Mr. Tomlin, he lost my case. I felt that he did not give my case the attention it needed. Communication was severely lacking. I have saved all my email correspondences through my two years as Mr. Tomlin represented me. What l experience no one should have to go through. Unfortunately there are only so many characters that you can enter into your review so I’m limited to present my entire case verbatim. There were times through out my two year case where l reached out to Mr. Tomlin and months would go by with no communication to what was happening with my case. I pleaded with Mr. Tomlin at one point since l haven’t been working to look into resolving the case as soon as possible because money was an issue for me and every email correspondence cost money. I added a few short email correspondences back in 2022 -2023 where l thought the case would be resolved but it looks like the paperwork sat for a year with no attention at all and what looked promising was just forgotten about. Note the dates of the correspondences. December 27, 2022- Mr. Tomlins sends a letter to the judge that initially signed the first DRO. February 10, 2023- Email from Mr. Tomlins stating that counsel and Mr. Tomlins had a virtual court conference with the judge, he felt that the conference went well for us and that the judge was leaning in our direction, he states that we should know by March 15 with either her decision or a request for a further conference. April 18, 2023- I hadn’t heard anything from Mr. Tomlins, March 15th came and went, I sent him an email stating that its been a couple of months and if he knew where we were with the case. April 19, 2023- Mr. Tomlins sends me an email stating he received an email from the court. The email is dated April 18th, and states that the Court has had an opportunity to review the County Clerk’s file in this matter. The judge asked for the transcript of the conference that took place on February 10, 2023. Once the transcript is reviewed the Court will schedule a further conference to try to resolve the issue. April 19, 2023- I thanked him for the update and asked if it looked promising to him. April19, 2023- He states the conference went well for us, so we’ll see. April 25, 2023- email from Mr. Tomlins, asking me to send a $64.00 payment to court as soon as possible. I sent the money that day. July 10, 2023- I sent an email to Mr. Tomlins stating that I haven’t heard from him in two months and I would like an update. July 11, 2023- I send Mr. Tomlins an email stating that its been over a year that this case has been going on. I asked if we could get it resolved. March 6, 2024- No response from Mr. Tomlins for eight months. He sends me an email with a letter attached a letter from the Supreme Court stating in much fewer words that we lost the case. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM!!!!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
