A major Medical Malpractice Case involving a Texas Pathologist and his professional association. Tissue from the Plaintiff's mouth was biopsied by a surgeon and sent to the Pathologist for evaluation. ... The specimen from the Plaintiff's mouth was cross contaminated during the pathological preparation by the Pathologist's staff and a mis-diagnosis of Neuro-endocrine Carcinoma was given to the Plaintiff. The Plaintiff's lower right jaw was removed after consultation with a Oncologist surgeon. The cross contamination was not discovered until after a post surgical pathological examination of the Plaintiff's removed jaw. Plaintiff suffered extensive disfiguration and permanent disfigurement.
