Scott Lawrence Volkman

Scott has been with SRDD Law since 2013. His practice is concentrated in the areas of municipal law, zoning, planning, and land use matters, real estate and civil litigation.

Scott served as an elected member of the City of Poughkeepsie Common Council. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Mid Hudson Civic Center, Inc., Half Moon Theatre, Inc. and the McCann-Caven Golf Courses, Inc., the Poughkeepsie Urban Renewal Agency and the Poughkeepsie Industrial Development Agency.

Scott has been the attorney for the Town of Pleasant Valley since 1989 and has served as the attorney for the Towns of Rhinebeck and Hyde Park and has served as Special Counsel and Bond Counsel for many municipalities. He is also Counsel for the Dutchess County Legislature and was appointed as Chair of the 2011 City of Poughkeepsie Redistricting Commission.
