Quits

I wish I had read the other reviews before I hired him. He did the same thing to me that he did to others. He took my money, read my file, and then quit because I used the wrong terminology. Then had the nerve to send me a bill. Stay away unless you have money otherwise you may as well put your money... into a shredder!!!

Bogus Excuses - Bad Attorney

My original impression of this spineless excuse for an advocate was much better. All along, expending untold hours working both apart and together, he raved about how strong my case was. Calling evidence presented to him as "Gold Nuggets" and such. Then, less than one month before trial, h...e made bogus excuses for abandoning my case, which in essence, was precipitated by my asking questions that he didn't like... questions that were reasonable and necessary for us to move ahead. One professional that had encounters with him suggests that he is insecure, accounting for his actions, and that he wouldn't have been able to properly or effectively defend my case despite how familiar he was with the facts, or how strongly he felt about my case.... analogizing it this way: "Just because a person knows all the words to "Let It Be" by the Beatles doesn't mean they can write, sing or perform songs like the Beatles. In abandoning my very strong case, this poor example of a human being not only delayed the much anticipated and needed trial, but he refused to provide me with his case notes which were the product of joint efforts totalling more than 80 or 90 man-hours of work, both together and apart...organizing, strategizing, reviewing planning and outlining my case. I will be filing a complaint with the attorney's ethics review board in White Plains. Now I know better. Just because an attorney is willing to read your entire file and can cite many aspects of it from memory doesn't mean he can properly present it at trial. It just means he likes to read and can retain what he has read.... admittedly, important aspects of a good attorney... . Thank God I found out before trial!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
