OUTCOME: Walking/Standing at Dept Store Caused Job Injury

I successfully settled a workers compensation claim for a confidential amount against a major high end department store chain based upon the salesperson developing foot problems from frequent walking a ... nd/or standing in high-heel shoes on hard-floors. The store's lawyers claimed the problem was pre-existing and developed because of diabetes, but I obtained expert testimony from the chief foot/ankle specialist at UM/JMH who helped to prove that the work activities were the major cause of the foot problems.
