Jonathan Eric Cohen

Mr. Cohen has been with us during a very rough time in our lives for the past four years. The first day we met he stated that this "could take a long time" and he was right. Since I am newly deaf, I prefer emails. Whenever I have written to Mr. Cohen, I can expect a reply within 24 hours, but usually... sooner. If there is an important break in our case, he calls with the information right away and always reminds me of court conferences. I am happy to say that the end is near and Mr. Cohen was able to insure a positive result and we will be able to keep our home. Nothing was more important in our lives than our home. We were one of the family's that were being foreclosed upon by illegal activities from Bank of America's HARP refinancing in 2009. A class action lawsuit against them only netted us $1000.00, hardly enough compensation for 4 years of fear of losing our home. Our mortgage was purchased by another company, but still the refinance was not settled. The foreclosure was legally filed in our county, but without a sale date. Mr. Cohen has been working with the mortgage company and an offer has been made to us to keep our home. There are still questions that need to be answered but our dream of owning our own home is alive and well and will stay that way, thanks to Mr. Cohen.

When my husband and I entered Mr. Cohen's office for our first appointment, we were convinced our only option to end our foreclosure was a bankruptcy filing. When we left, we had real hope that Mr. Cohen could help us save our home. To make a long story short, he did. With his support, diligence ...and considerable expertise, we were able to negotiate an agreement with our mortgage company that allows us to make reduced payments for the next 2 years. We had tried to do this on our own, but the bank would not budge. Mr. Cohen and his wonderful staff persevered, keeping us informed and attending all of our conferences throughout the entire process. Being able to sleep at night is worth so much more than his very reasonable fees.
