Megan Abigail Shedden

Megan Shedden is an attorney and a medical ethicist. Her work includes guardianships for children, incapacitated adults, and people with developmental disabilities. She has represented school districts at numerous student disciplinary hearings and is available to serve school districts as a Superintendent’s Hearing Officer in the Hudson Valley. She is also a certified Title IX investigator and available to conduct investigations for colleges and secondary schools.

Megan earned her law degree from Albany Law School of Union University with a concentration in health law and simultaneously earned a master’s degree in bioethics from Albany Medical College.

During law school, Megan served as a judicial interned to the Honorable Costa M. Pleicones, former Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, South Carolina’s highest court. She also interned with the healthcare bureau in the New York State Attorney General’s Office. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Elijah L. Miller, Jr., former Civil Presiding Judge of the Supreme Court in Bergen County, New Jersey.
