Paternity / Domestic Violence
May 16, 2019OUTCOME: Mother has the majority of time sharing with the minor child
After the parties separation, the Father relocated to a different county 45 minutes from where the parties resided with their minor child. The Father was seeking to have the child move with him to his ... new residence. The Father filed four restraining orders against the Mother, one on behalf of himself and three on behalf of the minor child. The Father was instrumental in there being seven reports made to the Department of Children and Families (DCFS) regarding the Mother abusing the child. DiMaggio Law Offices represented the Mother in all of the restraining orders and the corresponding paternity action. All of the restraining orders were dismissed after attending hearings, the DCFS cases were closed with no findings against the Mother and the Mother received the majority of time sharing with the minor child remaining in the same county the Mother resided in.
