OUTCOME: Modification of Custody Granted

In this contested custody case, I obtained full custody and sole parental responsibility for my client, a dedicated father of two lovely young children. This result arises out of a Supplemental Petitio ... n for Modification of Final Judgment filed by my office on behalf of our client. Our client sought to change custody of the two children from the Mother/Former Wife (which was previously given to her in the original divorce decree), over to himself, the Father/Former Husband. The Father obtained exactly what he sought in the Petition. He was also awarded permanent child support for a specified amount, due on a monthly basis.

On March 5, 2009, I successfully defended a Motion for Contempt and for Legal Fees as a result of a contested evidentiary hearing. The other party's motion was completely denied, even though my client ... owed $12,100.00 in support payments to his former Wife. This was accomplished as a result of my deep knowledge of actions regarding contempt, legal fees, and related defenses as it relates to family law. No purge provision was granted, nor was a judgment mandated against my client.
