Telephone Consumer Protection Act
Oct 23, 2015OUTCOME: Settled before trial
I had a client come to see me about filing bankruptcy. However, after talking to her about her case I discovered that she had received about 1,500 phone calls on her cell phone from one of her credito ... rs. The calls were made using an autodialer without her consent. Instead of her filing bankruptcy, we filed a law suit against the creditor for violations of the TCCPA. The case settled before trial and my client got more than enough money to pay off all her debt and did not have to file bankruptcy.
