David McKinnon Delaney

I graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1997. Since then I have concentrated my practice in the areas of education law and governmental representation.  My cases include state and federal court matters, and I am admitted to the Northern and Middle Federal District Courts.  I have tried cases in state and federal courts in Florida and argued appeals before the state District Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court, and the federal Circuit Court of Appeals.  Advising clients to help them avoid litigation is a passion of mine.  I have extensive experience providing training to district level and school based staff.  I have also taught Education Law to graduate students in the Education Leadership program at the University of Florida.  My experience representing school districts in court and as general counsel has led to my expertise in the area of Education law.  I am recognized by the Florida Bar as a board certified specialist on this topic.

After growing up in Gainesville, I am delighted to continue to live and work in my hometown.  Away from the office you can find me training on Gainesville's roads and trails for an upcoming race.
