Additionally the client received a withhold of adjudication so the client was not convicted of any charges.

Client was granted a loan by his employer in the late 1990’s to purchase a home. The debt was forgiven shortly thereafter for work performed. However, the employer failed to record a satisfaction of ... the note and the mortgage so a lien appeared on the title when the client tried to sell the home in 2016. The company was then sold off and went out of business. After speaking to the title company, explaining the law applicable in this instance, and preparing affidavits supporting the client’s position, The title company wrote the policy and the client was able to move forward with the sale of the home.
