OUTCOME: Client became a U.S. citizen

I frequently employ creative theories to win cases that may initially appear weak, or to find the right visa to fit a client's interests. I had a client who came to me with an aggravated felony under i ... mmigration law. He was in removal proceedings with no options for relief. Through a creative theory, I was able to terminate his case in court to allow him to apply for citizenship. He became a citizen and I helped him petition for his wife. Later they brought their new baby to my office! That was an incredible experience, and it reaffirmed how important it is to fight for someone even when the case appears hopeless.
