I represented Appellee in an action to avoid a Proposal for Settlement. The only existing appellate law on the issue was two Third District cases that favored Appellant. I persuaded the Fourth Distr ... ict to depart from the Third District's reasoning and certify conflict. The Third District subsequently changed its position and adopted the reasoning of the Fourth.

Our client performed as agreed and the Defendnat, an international multi-billion dollar corporation, used a pretext to terminate before any money was due.

OUTCOME: $400,000 Settlement for Plaintiff

I, along with my partner Romin Currier, represented the Plaintiff who purchased a used car "as is" from defendant for $10,000. Plaintiff took the car for a test drive and it drove fine. He signed a co ... ntract to buy the car. Ten days later, he returned to pick up the car but the motor was blown and the car would not drive. Plaintiff asked for his $10,000 back and the dealer refused, threatening to charge the client for "storage" if he didn't tow the car off the lot.
