We investigated the case and pulled the information from the truck's "black box" which revelaed that the truck driver routinely drove over the speed limit and was required to "hard brake" on multiple occasions on the day of the accident. We also developed the evidence to establish that the trucking company routinely violated the Federal Regulations which were put in place to monitor and make sure truck drivers were driving safely on our roadways. While mediating the case, the mediator repeatedly tried to convince my clients to resolve the case and that the offers were significant offers and they most likely would not do better at trial. In the end, after a long day of negotiating, presenting evidence and arguments, the representatives of the trucking company and insurance company finally came around and tendered the policy limits. The settllement helped the clients get back on their feet, and begin to rebuild their lives.
