Plans for married couples who have children of prior marriages (blended families) have their own unique characteristics. This particular case was no different. Husband had children of prior marriage an ... d a very involved, not so welcomed, ex-wife. Couple have children of their own marriage and want to make sure that Wife is protected and their children are protected. We worked on protections and limitations for when one spouse becomes incapacitated and for one spouse dies making sure the survivor has freedom to manage his/her assets but that the decedent's assets provide for the survivor but are also protected for the children.
