The U.S. Department of Justice said the deal brings to a close a qui tam suit filed in Florida federal court in 2004 that accused Steven J. Wasserman of entering into an illegal kickback arrangement with Tampa Pathology Laboratory and its owner Jose SuarezHoyos, co-defendants in the case that previously settled with the government for $950,000.
