The client's lower back was burned during a "hot stone" massage from a local massage therapist. Apparently, the massage therapist left the hot stones on my client's lower back and left the room to tak ... e a phone call. I sent my client to see a local dermatologist and he advised us that the scarring on my client's lower back would be permanent. After a demand letter and subsequent lengthy negotiations, we settled the case without going to court.
