Minor was arrested by police for displaying deep psychological issues and threat to public safety. Minor was transported to nearby hospital by police. After treatment, hospital attempted to collect fees for the treatment / services from minor's parents. Parents objected due to their lack of consent for the treatment or ability to choose treating hospital. Supreme Court upheld charges due to emergency nature of treatment.
