Gennaro Dominick Calabrese

Attorney Gennaro graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany, and graduated cum laude from Albany Law School.

Gennaro has focused his practice on civil litigation, civil rights abuses and criminal defense. He has tried civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts and is committed to fighting for the rights of victims of civil rights violations. While much of this litigation focuses on excessive force by police officers, it can also result from other governmental actions including denial of due process.

Gennaro handles criminal cases in both adult and juvenile courts. His practice areas include but are not limited to drug crimes, DWI, parole and probation, theft and fraud crimes, weapon offenses, assault crimes, domestic violence and traffic violations. He also handles appellate issues and post-verdict relief litigation. He has successfully argued before the Appellate Division Third Department and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Gennaro is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Defenders Association, and the American Bar Association.
