Feel Like I Gained A Friend

She helped me through the most difficult time of my life. Divorce is hard enough but when a child is involved it's that much harder. Jo Ann didn't just help me with my case but she was someone I felt I can talk to on a personal level. I truly feel like I gained a friend through all this.

Got the difficult job done!

Jo Ann is a very good lawyer. My experience with Jo Ann was in regards to a very difficult divorce case with 2 children involved. She was there with quick helpful input to calm the most stressful circumstances during the twists and turns of a 4.5 year divorce. Jo Ann stayed with the case an additi...onal 2 years helping me get sole custody. It was a monumental task given the difficulties faced but she did it! Every step of the way, Jo Ann was reassuring and right about what to do, what the future looked like but keeping to the facts of what is known and what is unknown. Divorce is expensive and that is the well known. This divorce was very difficult and drawn out as mentioned earlier in this review. Jo Ann was fair and understanding to my financial limitations and got the job done for me and my kids. Thanks to Jo Ann, my kids are with me and we are all moving on with our new norm. Thank you Jo Ann.

A lawyer that listens

I met with JoAnn Coughtry to file a separation agreement. My husband and I had already discussed the terms of the separation and had agreed on what we wanted it to look like. We did not want courts to dictate what we felt were life decisions. JoAnn not only provided the agreement that we were seek...ing, but she was the only attorney out of several that I contacted that listened to what I wanted and did not try to steer me away from being reasonable and fair in the process. She offered suggestions and clarifications but respected what I wanted as a client. I would highly recommend JoAnn. Her responses to inquiries were timely and she completed everything I requested in a timely manner. Most importantly, she listened and responded to what I wanted.

Review of Joann Coughtry

Joann was recommended to me by another attorney that I worked with. She is not a hand-holder, which was great. She is very blunt, but really knows her stuff. Although some people tend to use their divorce attorneys as shrinks, she won't let you do that. She is their to help you, even when she is ...telling you things that you don't really want to hear.
