Jerrold William Bartman

I hired Jerrold Bartman to assist me with the loan modification process in an attempt avoid foreclosure. Unfortunately, Jerrold Bartman did not provide the services that he agreed to. He agreed to submit all legal documents necessary for a loan modification and to correspond with the mortgage co...mpany regarding all matters pertaining to the loan. Bartman agreed to work with my mortgage company to try to speed up the loan modification process. I paid J. Bartman upfront for his services, but I did not receive the services that he agreed to. Here are some examples: 1. J Bartman agreed to submit a loan modification application to my lender. Months after I signed the loan modification paperwork I received a call from my mortgage company saying that I had 30 days to pay off my loan or I would foreclose. My mortgage company said that they never received a loan modification application. I called Jerrold Bartman's office and they said not to worry about it, that bank did received the paperwork. I again confirmed with the mortgage company that they did not receive a loan modification application. After numerous unanswered calls and emails to Jerrold Bartman, he apologized for the oversight indicating that he was short staffed. Then his office sent me incorrect loan modification paperwork to re-sign that (if submitted and approved) would have actually increased my mortgage payment. Numerous phone calls and emails went unanswered to correct this subsequent issue. 2. Once the correct application was received by the mortgage company requested that I file a quit claim deed to remove a co-borrower from the deed. I contacted Bartman's office and his paralegal said " We don't know how to file a quit claim deeds. Look it up online." I asked the paralegal if I could speak to Bartman or another attorney in the firm about the issue and no one ever go back to me. I had to hire another attorney to file a quit claim deed. 3. My lender informed me that the Jerrold Bartman did not return phone calls or respond to requests for additional information. 4. Hiring J Bartman prolonged the loan modification process. I now owe additional interest, penalties, and bank fee's due to the delay in filing the loan modification application.
