Jennifer A. Cusack

Jennifer A. Cusack is a partner at Hinman, Howard & Kattell LLP and works out of the Albany office. She is a member of the Elder Law & Guardianship and Wills, Trusts, & Estates practice groups. Jen focuses her practice on Medicaid planning and estate planning and administration. She has extensive experience advising clients how to protect their assets in light of long term health care costs. Jennifer has prepared countless Medicaid applications to enable clients to qualify for Medicaid both in the community and in nursing homes. She assists clients with creating and administering Special Needs Trusts in order to enable disabled individuals to preserve government benefits and frequently works with the parents of disabled children on their estate plans. Jen also helps clients to qualify as the guardian of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

A life long resident of the Capital Region, Jennifer is an active member of the scholarship committee of the Holy Cross Club of Northeastern New York and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Arc of Rensselaer County.
